Carrie Preston was born on June 21, 1967 in Macon, Georgia. She has played the sister of Felicity Huffman twice. Once on "Desperate Housewives" (2004) and once in Transamerica (2005). She has appeared on "Lost" (2004), playing the mother of the character "Ben Linus". Ben is played by Preston's real-life husband, Michael Emerson; the age difference is explicable because Ben's mother died shortly after giving birth to him. She and her husband, Michael Emerson, are both in the movie Straight-Jacket (2004).
