Bree Weston, a neurotic and perfectionist homemaker, was once the wife and mother every other woman dreamed of being. Coined as "Martha Stewart-on-steroids", Bree's life took a drastic turn for the worse after her beloved husband's untimely death. The matriarch of the family became an alcoholic, abandoned her son, and was subsequently admitted to a psychiatric hospital. Bree eventually managed to regain control and became a famous businesswoman and chef after publishing a cookbook. However, after her marriage with her second husband disintegrated and she lost her business, Bree's world fell apart once more. The housewife's alcohol addiction returned, she engaged herself in numerous sexual relationships, and even attempted suicide after helping cover up a murder.
