Biography[]

Tuc Watkins was born on September 2, 1966 in Kansas City, Kansas. He lived next door to actress Brooke Dillman when growing up in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. He attended Parkway West High School in St. Louis. He went on to Indiana University, where he majored in communications, with a triple minor in theater, psychology and French. He used to work part-time as a housepainter. His first big gig, a guest spot on the sitcom, "Growing Pains" (1985), ended up on the cutting room floor, though his name still appears in the closing credits. On September 21, 2005, he survived the emergency landing of JetBlue flight 292. He and other passengers learned of the airplane's malfunctioning landing gear by watching coverage of their plight on headrest-mounted TV sets.
