Martha Huber borrowed the blender from Mary Alice months before her suicide. Martha used returning the blender as an excuse to visit Mary Alice, to investigate the "Strange Popping noise" that she heard.
Ironically it was the object that Paul Young used to knock Martha unconscious, before strangling, and burying her alive.
